another favourite of mine

This one is another of my favourites! I bought Stephen Blackburn's dvd on pouring paint and painted this one. It's on hot pressed Arches paper, 140 lb.

Okay, now I don't feel so bad. lol.

Wow - we really are all our own worst critics!
Your lily pads are great - they are just at the beginning with a ways to go. I agree - your water looks very real - like I'm looking down into it. And personally I like the overspray onto the pads, they will add unity to the piece.
Give the fluids a chance - maybe use a bit less - their color doesn't dilute as much as W/C does.
Steve Blackburn will be in Cincinnati for a workshop in May - come on down!!! I really like that sunflower!

Hi Deb,

I guess we *are* our own worst critics! I quickly thumbed through Nita Leland's Creativity book tonight to get some inspiration (before crashing on the couch) and decided to just keep playing with this one, no matter how it turns out. I'll keep thinking unity and harmony when doing those pads. I sure wish I could get there for his workshop!! (We don't get too many workshops around here.) Thanks very much for your commments!!!

Deb, you know you can paint - look at this flower?!!!!???!!! No one could do it better. Now, if you want to come to the workshop, you can stay with me - free room and board, all you have to do it get here and pay for the workshop :) Tempting???

Thanks for the moral support! And just when I need it - I've been sooooo dizzy for a few days now and my bp went pretty high. I'm feeling better now though but still a bit dizzy. So that's why the delay in getting back to you! Tempting? Oh and how!!!! I wish I could get the time off!!! Maybe one day though, maybe one day. The offer goes for you, too.
